FDA-approved Botox is a safe, non-surgical treatment that takes about 15 minutes. Results typically last up to four months and can be repeated as wrinkles begin to reappear.

Following a Botox treatment, you should avoid exercise and alcohol for 24 hours. Keep your head upright and don’t rub the treated area for four hours following your treatment. Results start appearing 3 to 5 days following treatment with continued improvements for two weeks.

Daxxify

Daxxify is similar to other neuromodulators formulated with botulinum toxin. These neuromodulators work by relaxing muscle activity that causes wrinkles. Some wrinkles, called dynamic wrinkles, are caused by natural expressions like squinting, smiling or frowning. Over time, these expressions cause creases or wrinkles to form. Daxxify can both prevent and reverse the effects of dynamic wrinkles by relaxing the muscles responsible while still maintaining your unique expressions.

How does Daxxify differ from other neuromodulators?

Daxxify stands apart from other neuromodulators due to the way it’s formulated. Daxxify is made with peptides and does not contain any human or animal products to stabilize it. This means that it can last for up to 9 months versus other neuromodulators which last 3-4 months. Additionally, some patients see initial results as early as the next day, making it one of the most fast-acting ways to get rid of wrinkles and fine lines.

What areas can be treated with Daxxify?

Daxxify is a great option for the upper face where dynamic wrinkles tend to form. These areas typically include areas around the eyes, between the brows, and on the forehead. Dysport

Jeuveau

Jeuveau helps improve the look of moderate to severe lines for a more rested appearance. Like other botulinum toxin neuromodulators, Jeuveau is designed to smooth out moderate to severe wrinkles. Both Jeuveau and Botox contain the active ingredient botulinum toxin type A, used to help relax muscles that cause wrinkles. This neuromodulator works by relaxing muscles beneath the skin that over time create “dynamic wrinkles” caused by repetitive muscle movements. When used as a wrinkle treatment, Jeuveau injections create a smoother appearance on the surface of your skin.

Because Jeuveau can be hard to pronounce and is a more recent introduction in the aesthetics market, it’s been dubbed “NEWTOX.” On average, patients experience full results about one week after a Jeuveau treatment, with the wrinkle-reducing effects lasting between 3 and 4 months. As with any treatment, results vary from patient to patient.

Xeomin

Xeomin is an injectable wrinkle treatment that can temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles, resulting in smoother, younger-looking skin.

Xeomin is a botulinum toxin type A and works much the same way as Botox and Dysport to relax the muscles that cause “expression” line and wrinkles.

Approved by the FDA in 2010, Xeomin is a safe and effective injectable that provides natural-looking results that can last up to four months.

What does Xeomin treat?

Xeomin is an excellent choice to reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles:

How does Xeomin differ from Botox and Dysport?

The main difference is that Xeomin does not contain any additives or preservatives. It is uniquely purified to deliver the product without any protein additives. While the additives in Botox and Dysport injections are safe, some patients prefer to avoid them for a variety of reasons.

Xeomin’s purified structure may also help prevent antibody resistance. If you’ve experienced decreasing results with other neuromodulators over time, Xeomin may be a great option for you. The results of Xeomin typically last approximately three to six months.
