What is the difference between PRF and PRP?

PRF and PRP are very similar in that they are both derived from your own plasma. Each will improve the tone and texture of your skin to a varying extent by stimulating the production of collagen. The main difference between the two is the preparation method and the components of each. PRP uses separating agents and an anticoagulant in the extraction process while PRF does not. What should I expect during a PRF treatment?

We will discuss with you specific aesthetic goals you may have. The appropriate treatment area will be determined and numbing cream will be applied.

We extract a sample of blood from one of your arms, similar to a standard medical blood draw. The sample is carefully processed using a sterile protocol while your skin becomes numb. Your PRF is then extracted from the sample into a clean syringe and injected into the treatment area.

When will I see results?

Results of PRF injections will be seen gradually during the course of several weeks. The majority of patients start to notice improvements within a few weeks, although the results continue to improve for several months after they initially become noticeable. Depending on your aesthetic goals, you may need multiple treatments spread out over a few months. We can outline a treatment plan for you for optimal results.

Will I have downtime?

There is no downtime needed after a PRF injection. You may return to normal activities. Do refrain from activities that require a lot of physical exertion for 24 hours. You may experience some redness, swelling, bruising, and itching at the treatment site for a few days after treatment.

What is the Elite BioFill process?

We begin by drawing a sample of your blood into vials and placing these in a specialized centrifuge (deriving growth factors, stem cells and other skin-rejuvenating ingredients not available in PRP). Then a small fraction is taken through a unique process to derive the albumin gel component. The gel and PRF are mixed together to create natural, stimulating BioFill.

What does Elite BioFill treat?

How many treatments will I need?

Each patient’s skin and structure is different. On average, two treatments performed six weeks apart are recommended for optimal stimulating results. An additional treatment annually is recommended.

What is the downtime?

Anticipate very little downtime if any. You may notice a small amount of swelling and pinkness for 1-3 days. There can be mild tenderness to the treated area, which can be managed with Acetaminophen (Tylenol). Swelling at the injection site is typical, and can occasionally be seen 1-2 days after injections, this is normal and should resolve within 48 hours. As with any type of injection, bruising is always a possibility.

Are there any risks associated with Elite BioFill?

Elite BioFill is one of the safest injectables available and can be injected into areas that are considered high-risk zones when using traditional HA fillers. There is always a risk of bleeding and bruising with any injection procedure. Any concerns will gladly be addressed during your consultation.

How does a PRP Facelift work?

Our PRP Facelift starts by drawing a small your blood from your arm, much like a medical draw. The blood is then processed through a centrifuge. This isolates the plasma from the rest of the blood. The platelet-rich plasma (PRP) contains nutrients, stem cells, and other growth factors.

Once centrifuged, the PRP separates from the other components in the vial. We collect the rich PRP serum from the sample and combine it with a hyaluronic acid dermal filler. This is then injected into your skin like a dermal filler.

The PRP Facelift encourages blood flow, stimulates collagen production and activates potent stem cells in your body. It goes a step further to stimulate the body to produce new cells and generate more youthful tissue.

How much downtime will I have with a PRP Facelift?
