What can I expect during my SkinPen treatment?
When you arrive at our office, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area prior to the procedure. The actual procedure typically takes 20-30 minutes, depending on treatment areas. Most patients report feeling just a slight vibration during the treatment.
You may experience mild redness, tightness and swelling immediately following the treatment. Downtime will vary depending on the depth of the treatment and your individual skin type.
How many treatments will I need?
Collagen remodeling gradually increases over time following your treatment, meaning the results will continue to improve in the weeks and months following your treatment. Each patient is different, but for optimal results, we recommend a series of 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. We will develop a customized treatment plan for you based on your particular skin issue and goals.
