What’s the difference between Sculptra and other fillers?
The main difference between Sculptra and most other fillers is that Sculptra stimulates the production of collagen. Most dermal fillers don’t initiate a natural response in your body to produce collagen, unlike Sculptra. Fillers like Juvaderm and Restylane are made with hyaluronic acid and designed to immediately fill in wrinkles and improve volume, which some patients prefer. Most dermal fillers last for six to 12 months, while Sculptra injections have shown long-lasting effects for up to two years.
By spurring collagen production, Sculptra works to repair the underlying scaffolding of your face, which offers many rejuvenating benefits. Once Sculptra has completed its work, the added volume it gradually creates diminishes the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and folds.

When will I see the results?

How long do results last?
The effects of Sculptra can last up to two years or more. In clinical studies, 100% of patients showed improvement for up to two years, noting decreased nasolabial folds, increased skin robustness, and an overall refreshed appearance. Clinical studies also show a 66.5% increase in type 1 collagen after three months.
Because this filler essentially rebuilds the underlying infrastructure of the face by generating collagen, it offers results that last much longer than most other injectables.
How many treatments will I need?
Most patients receive a series of two to three Sculptra injections over a period of several months. The injections are performed in different directions to create a mesh-like pattern under the skin. This means that once in place, the filler offers thorough coverage and can serve as a foundation upon which collagen can develop.
Is Sculptra safe?
Sculptra is made of a very safe biodegradable compound that was approved by the FDA in 2004 for aesthetic use but has been used in a variety of medical procedures for over 30 years.
