How Injectable Treatments Can Work For You

If you’re looking to turn back the hands of time, Elite Medi Spa offers a range of products and services to improve the signs of aging, from medical-grade skincare products and microneedling to laser and injectable treatments. All of these can help diminish fine lines and wrinkles, restore a more even skin tone, and help improve the appearance of scars and blemishes. With skincare products, the effects will tend to be subtle but noticeable. Laser and injectable treatments can produce much more compelling results.

As we age, our collagen production begins to slow. Since collagen is what gives our skin a plump and youthful look, this decline can lead to sagging and a loss of elasticity. While some surgical procedures can correct this issue, many people are interested in non-invasive alternatives. One such option is injectable treatments. The neurotoxins and dermal fillers we use require minimal downtime and offer beautiful results without the stress of recovering from surgery.

Our talented team can treat a variety of areas with these fillers, including your mouth, nose, cheeks, hands, and more. Non-surgical facial rejuvenation often involves combining treatments, and each of these fillers has unique properties and durations. When you schedule a consultation with our office in Bend, we’ll be able to customize a treatment plan for you that’s based on your aesthetic goals and lifestyle.

Let’s take a look at the injectable procedures we offer and what they can do for your skin!

Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau

We offer a variety of injectable toxins: Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau. The needles we use for these procedures are extremely thin, making injections almost entirely pain-free. There may be a small amount of discomfort initially, but you shouldn’t have any significant irritation or inflammation.

The procedure itself is quick and usually completed within ten to fifteen minutes. This makes it convenient for patients with busy schedules since regular daily routines can be resumed almost immediately afterward!

Neurotoxins have several uses. They can be used to soften or eliminate frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead creases, and lines around the mouth. We can also use neurotoxins to elevate or lift the brow, relax musculature in the chin area to smooth away wrinkles, shape the brow, and improve the appearance of old or new facial scars. When used in the neck and chest region, they can often minimize creases, wrinkling, and the dreaded “turkey neck.”

We can also use Botox for a “lip flip,” a procedure that has become increasingly popular in recent years. As we age, our lips begin to thin. This can result in a tired appearance, making us look older. Our lip flip treatment is quick and simple, subtly enhancing the natural shape of your lips and adding volume without dermal filler.

In the same way that Botox can improve the area around your eyes, a few microinjections of it near your mouth can create an upward “flip” of the upper lip. It does this by exposing more of your vermilion, or the red portion of your lip. This creates an illusion of subtle enlargement, resulting in a fuller lip that looks more shapely. Results may be noticed in as little as 3-4 days, with full results in about a week.

Juvéderm

There are several different products included in the Juvéderm family. The fillers have a smooth, gel-like consistency, and each one uses a specific concentration of hyaluronic acid to target particular areas of the face. This adds volume to the facial tissue by stimulating the production of collagen, which naturally plumps the skin.

After injecting Juvéderm, we’ll lightly massage the treatment area to ensure even distribution and reduce the chance of swelling. The procedure will normally take 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated. The injections themselves contain a small amount of pain-reducing lidocaine to help minimize any pain or discomfort, making this an excellent option for anyone who is anxious about the procedure. We also routinely apply a topical numbing cream to the area before administering treatment to make the experience as comfortable as possible.  Recovery time is minimal, and most patients will see results immediately.

Restylane

Like Juvéderm, Restylane is a hyaluronic acid-based facial filler that can be used to smooth wrinkles. It can also enhance the lips, target lines around the mouth, and add volume to the cheeks. When we inject  Restylane into areas where collagen has been lost, it helps to smooth and lift the skin for a more youthful appearance.

Restylane injections can take 15 to 30 minutes to complete. We’ll use a topical cream or ice pack to minimize any discomfort before injecting Restylane under the skin in the treatment areas using an ultrafine needle. Downtime is minimal, and most patients return to work after their procedure. However, you may want to give yourself a day to rest and recover if you have several injections scheduled. Full results are usually seen within a week, but immediate effects will also be noticeable since the fillers add volume when injected.

Sculptra

Sculptra is an injectable cosmetic filler that can be used to restore lost facial volume. It contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is a biocompatible synthetic substance that stimulates collagen production. We can use Sculptra to treat deep lines, creases, and folds for a softer and more youthful appearance.

There is no special preparation required and you can return to your normal activities immediately after treatment. You may notice an immediate difference, but it can take a few months to see the full results of your treatment. We’ll work with you to determine the number of treatment sessions needed to achieve the best result, but the average regimen consists of three injections spread out over three or four months. Results can last for up to two years.
